Write down exact recurring jobs. “Help around the house” is vague; “carry groceries from entry to kitchen twice a week” is testable.
Ask what is autonomous
Separate autonomous tasks from remote assistance, supervised modes and controlled demonstrations. 1X explicitly describes Expert Mode for tasks NEO does not yet know.
Check physical fit
Measure stairs, thresholds, doors, floor transitions and charging location. Confirm the robot can reach where the task occurs.
Check privacy and service
Understand sensors, cloud processing, remote access, data deletion, updates, warranty, parts and repair logistics.
Price the lifecycle
Include subscriptions, batteries, accessories, service and the possibility that early hardware will age quickly.
